Great article, Linda. Verbal tics in writing, and in speaking, drive me crazy. People who begin sentences with ‘so’, ‘I mean’, ‘right’, ‘yeah’, want me to lose my mind. Thank you for this article. I hope this leads to tighter writing for all of us.
