BRIDES SAVE LIVES
Say yes if the woman in the white dress asks you to wear a mask
At weddings, brides are the ultimate decision makers. Grooms have input, but any groom in his right mind will defer to his bride. Venues may have government pressure to meet certain CDC guidelines, but they will still do whatever they can to make their bride clients happy. As a result, it must fall upon brides to keep their bridal party and guests safe at weddings in this new world of COVID-19.

At a wedding recently, a groomsman asked me, “Do I have to wear my mask during the ceremony?”
The answer to that groomsman’s question should always be yes, yes, a thousand times yes, yes you do. If one is going to be around other human beings at a social event like a wedding, of course you should wear a mask. But at weddings, the normal course of logic does not apply.
I know what the groomsman meant by the question. He was asking about the mask as a matter of fashion: he wanted to know if the bride and groom (meaning, the bride) would want their bridal party mask-less in their wedding photos.
